Zoom Phone Delegation

When one person needs to be able to answer calls on behalf of another, that is referred to a Call Delegation within Zoom Phone.

To Delegate your extension to another:

  1. Go into the Zoom Web Portal, and select Personal > Phone > Settings. 
  2. Scroll down to the section labelled Delegation & Assistant.
  3. Under Delegation, you will see the option to Assign delegation privileges. Select Set. 
  4. To find the user you want to delegate privileges to, enter their name or extension in the Search by Name or Ext. field and click to select the user you are interested in delegating privileges to. 
  5. Once the user is selected, choose Invite. 

To accept a pending Delegation Request from another:

  1. You will receive an email from Zoom titled New Delegation Request.
  2. Open the email and click on View Request.
  3. That link will open a browser window, prompting you to login to the Zoom Web Portal.
  4. In the section labelled ‘Or sign in with’, select SSO.
  5. Ensure that the Company Domain is clarkstate.zoom.us and click Continue.
  6. Login to the Zoom Web Portal and select Phone > Settings.
  7. Scroll down to the Delegation & Assistant section.
  8. You should see the pending Delegation Request under Assistant For.
  9. Choose Accept.
  10. You will be prompted with the following: (Image of Accept button)1572612-1.png
  11. Choose Accept, a message will appear briefly indicating Accepted delegation successfully.

To view who you are currently a delegate for:

  1. Go into the Zoom Web Portal, and select Phone > Settings.
  2. Scroll down to the Delegation & Assistant section.
  3. Under Assistant for you will see which users you are currently assigned as a delegate for (the delegator), the extension of that delegator, and what you are able to do with those calls.

To remove a previously assigned delegation the delegator must do the following:

  1. Go into the Zoom Web Portal, and select Phone > Settings.
  2. Scroll down to the Delegation & Assistant section.
  3. Under Delegation, select Delete Delegation.
  4. The following message will appear: (Image of Delete button)1572612-2.png
  5. Select Delete, a message will appear briefly indicating Deleted delegation successfully.
